Why we paused the estimator
- No hallucinated numbers. The old estimator fell back to an AI-generated guess whenever a subspecialty or state wasn’t in our small dataset. We’d rather show nothing than something wrong.
- Honest source attribution. Percentiles will be labeled with the exact sample size and provenance — no more “based on MGMA” when that’s not what happened.
- Peers, not surveys. Data comes from oncologists reporting their own comp, not scraped from paid surveys.
